His background spans pharmaceutical industry, applied research and academic spectroscopy, including work with Professor Raj Suryanarayanan at the University of Minnesota, Olainfarm/Olpha, and the Latvian Institute of Organic Synthesis, now part of the National Institute of Research and Innovation. He completed his PhD at the University of Otago in 2021 under Professor Keith C. Gordon and Dr. Sara J. Fraser-Miller, and later worked as a research associate with Professor Ben J. Boyd in the Structured Biointerfaces group (SBI) at UCPH.

Julius works on machine-learning-assisted denoising algorithms for low-frequency vibrational spectroscopy, aiming to shorten acquisition times while retaining analytically useful spectral information.

His project targets both faster compositional characterization and time-constrained measurements such as spectroscopic mapping, where it may not be practical to acquire a high-quality spectrum at every measurement point.

Anna develops chemometric and machine learning algorithms and toolboxes tailored for low-frequency vibrational spectroscopy, with applications spanning small molecules, lipids and macromolecular pharmaceutical systems.

Her work draws on a broad background in pharmaceutical sciences and technology, including 3D printing of oral dosage forms, near-infrared and Raman spectroscopy, chemometrics, quantitative chemical analysis, and formulation development in academic, industry and start-up environments.

Aditya works on polymeric pharmaceutical materials, with a focus on how sample history and bulk polymer properties translate into spatially encoded structure in drug delivery systems.

His project aims to connect formulation performance to spectroscopic “pre-signatures” using machine learning, linking materials science, spectroscopy and predictive modelling.
